Senior Foodservice Design Project Manager - Minneapolis MN - Commercial Foodservice Projects
Outstanding opportunity for a Senior Foodservice Design Project Manager that will be responsible for leading and coordinating foodservice facility design projects from start to finish; and ensuring they are completed on time in budget and to high standards. They are the primary communication liaison and collaborate with clients architects and contractors to bring their visions to life and create innovative and practical solutions. This is an administrative role that requires you to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgement to design and specify equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet with clients and design team members to understand project objectives.
- Develop layouts that optimize workflow and space utilization.
- Specify appropriate equipment based on the project objectives operation and technical requirements.
- Draft plans elevations details and views for construction documents.
- Write construction specifications for all equipment including installation methods and accessories.
- Reconcile plans and specifications and coordinate with architecture interior design structure and MEP.
- Manage budgets and provide value engineering solutions to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Proactively identify and resolve clashes or interferences.
- Lead coordination meetings and coordinate with designers and contractors throughout the project.
- Review and respond to submittals RFIs substitution requests and other construction admin tasks.
- Building strong client relationships through effective communication and project management.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Log work time using project management software per project and administrative tasks.
- Stay current with industry trends standards technologies and relevant regulations.
- Contribute to the development of internal design standards and best practices.
- Manage all aspects of projects from initial concept to final completion.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of ten years of combined progressive professional experience demonstrated expertise in commercial foodservice facility design Revit modeling and construction administration.
- Proficiency in Revit Bluebeam AutoQuotes CPQ KCL Microsoft Suite and Google Workspace.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills.
- Critical thinking problem solving and analytical skills.
- In-person and virtual presentation communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of building and health codes and ADA requirements related to foodservice facilities.
- Understanding of project management principles and construction administration.
- Knowledge of foodservice operations equipment and constructability.
- Have a growth mindset and the ability to learn and adapt.
EXPECTED WORK HOURS
- The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM totaling a minimum of 40 hours per week. However due to the nature of project deadlines and client needs flexibility in work hours may occasionally be required. This role may also involve occasional travel for client meetings site visits and training.
