Job Summary

Position Title: Associate Directorof Community Engagement

Department: Philanthropy

Reports To: Vice President ofPhilanthropy & Strategic Growth

Position Summary

The Associate Director of Community Engagement plays a keyrole in advancing the organizations fundraising goals through strategicoutreach donor-focused events and community relationship building. Working as part of a three-personphilanthropy team-including the VP of Philanthropy and a Philanthropy Associate- this position helps manage and execute all aspects of the organizationsfundraising program. The AD isresponsible for creating meaningfulengagement opportunities that inspire support and strengthen community partnershipsand increase philanthropic investment in the organizations mission.

Key Responsibilities

Community Outreach and Engagement

  • Develop and implement community engagementstrategies that support fundraising priorities and expand the organizationsdonor base.
  • Cultivate relationships with community memberscorporate partners and local organizations to encourage philanthropicinvolvement while exploring grant opportunities through these contacts.
  • Serve as a visible ambassador for theorganization at community events meetings and outreach opportunities.

Events and Fundraising Activities

  • Plan manage and execute existing and explorenew fundraising and stewardship events from concept through completionincluding logistics timelines budgets and vendor coordination
  • Collaborate with the team to align events withoverall development strategy and revenue goals.
  • Work with the PA to ensure accurate tracking andacknowledgement related to event participation and giving.

Collaboration and Operations

  • Partner closely with the team to support thefull scope of fundraising operations including donor stewardshipcommunications and reporting.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution ofannual fundraising initiatives campaigns and engagement strategies.
  • Work with Phil and Marketing teams on the developmentof messaging and materials that promote events and highlight the impact ofphilanthropy.

Stewardship and Relationship Management

  • Support donor stewardship efforts by creatingengaging experiences that foster long-term relationships and ongoing support.
  • Engage in full-circle communication with theteam sharing and receiving and then storing information on interactions for thebenefit of donor growth and retention.
  • Ensure timely and thoughtful follow-up withevent participants community partners and prospective donors.
  • Represent the organizations mission values andimpact in all interactions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience innonprofit management communications marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience innonprofit fundraising community engagement or event management.
  • Demonstrated success in planning and executingevents and building relationships that support fundraising goals or businessgrowth.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability tomanage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a small teamenvironment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skillswith a professional and donor-centered approach.
  • Proficiency with donor databases and standardoffice software.

Work Environment

This position is a professional level position that requiresflexibility to attend events and meetings outside of regular business hours asneeded. The ADCE works closely with asmall collaborative team and plays an integral role in sustaining and growingthe organizations philanthropic efforts. A professional office space will be utilized and It is expected that therole will necessitate travel in the local community with much of the workday/week spent outside the office. Tollswill be provided to facilitate effective communication.
