Role: Academic Specialist FLN (Literacy) Raipur
Experience: 8 years
Salary: Up to 10.8-11.4 LPA
Role Overview:
The Academic Specialist FLN (Literacy) will be part of a state academic team supporting the design implementation and review of Foundational Literacy interventions. The role involves close collaboration with state and central academic teams government academic bodies and field teams to strengthen literacy outcomes in early grades (Grades 13).
The position requires strong academic expertise in literacy experience in teacher professional development curriculum and material development and continuous engagement with schools and academic institutions.
Key Roles and responsibilities-
1. Academic Coordination & Technical Support
- Coordinate and support academic activities related to Foundational Literacy programs at the state level
- Provide technical inputs for documents frameworks and academic discussions related to foundational literacy
- Review state language curriculum textbooks and supplementary materials and prepare detailed analytical reports
2. Curriculum & Material Development
- Develop learning outcome frameworks for Grades 13
- Design instructional frameworks training modules and teachinglearning materials in consultation with academic teams
- Develop teacher guides workbooks facilitation modules and classroom resources aligned with FLN goals
3. Teacher Professional Development
- Design and execute continuous professional development plans for:
- State Resource Groups (SRGs)
- DIET faculty
- Academic support personnel
- Teachers - Develop workshop designs facilitation plans and training materials for literacy-focused professional development
- Facilitate and co-facilitate training sessions and academic workshops
4. Assessment Monitoring & Field Support
- Design assessment tools classroom observation formats and monitoring frameworks in consultation with relevant teams
- Conduct school visits for classroom observations assessment pilots and academic reviews
- Prepare detailed field visit and observation reports
- Support piloting of academic interventions and tools
5. Content Creation & Representation
- Contribute to the development of academic videos and digital content for training and courses
- Represent the organization in academic forums workshops and discussions related to foundational literacy
6. Other Responsibilities
- Undertake extensive travel to field locations for reviews workshops and professional development activities
- Perform additional academic or program-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Educational Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduation or equivalent degree (required)
- Minimum 8 years of total professional experience including at least 3 years of experience in Foundational Literacy projects involving: Teacher training Material development Academic capacity building.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong conceptual understanding of Foundational Literacy
- Curriculum and lesson planning skills in literacy
- Experience in developing workbooks teacher guides and training modules
- Strong training design and facilitation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint; effective use of internet-based tools
- Hindi typing skills are essential
- High proficiency in reading writing and speaking Hindi
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive and adaptive attitude
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple responsibilities
