Internal Communications and Engagement Officer

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of an Internal Communications and Engagement Officer on a 3-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 25.26 - 33.73 per hour

Summary:

The Internal Communications and Engagement Officer will plan deliver and evaluate internal communications and staff engagement campaigns that support the councils Strategic Plan. The role will work closely with senior officers service leads and communications colleagues to ensure communications are effective data-driven culturally competent and aligned with council priorities.

Responsibilities:

• Plan lead deliver and evaluate internal communications campaigns across digital marketing events and face-to-face channels
• Provide strategic communications advice to senior officers and service leads
• Support staff engagement projects and internal initiatives
• Create engaging content including written copy videos social media email communications and marketing materials
• Manage and contribute to internal communications channels such as intranet email and internal social media
• Commission and oversee design and production of printed and digital materials

Essentials:

• Proven experience delivering impactful communications across multiple channels
• Experience of staff engagement and internal communications
• Strong ability to translate complex information into clear compelling content
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
