Data Management Team:
The Data Officer will join a well-established organised and friendly data and assessment team. The department plays a vital role in ensuring the schools progress tracking reporting analysis and statutory returns are accurate and delivered to the highest standards.
The team works closely with senior leadership Heads of Year Heads of Department exams staff pastoral teams and the SEND department to ensure data is effectively used to support teaching learning and whole-school strategy. The school uses modern digital systems and the successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving data workflows.
The role includes responsibility for managing assessment data updating the MIS system producing progress reports analysing trends preparing data dashboards supporting performance reviews processing census data and ensuring compliance with statutory reporting. You will work closely with teachers to ensure assessment information is accurately recorded and accessible.
This position is ideal for someone with an analytical mindset excellent attention to detail and a passion for ensuring high-quality data supports school improvement.
Requirements
Experience working with data systems ideally within a school environment
Strong IT skills including advanced Excel skills (pivot tables formulas data validation)
Experience using school MIS systems such as SIMS Arbor or Bromcom (desirable)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present findings clearly
Excellent communication skills and a professional calm approach
Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail especially when handling sensitive information
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required
Commitment to safeguarding GDPR compliance and confidentiality
