ISO Internal Auditor Construction - Driving Compliance and Excellence

OCU Group a rapidly expanding force in the UK utilities sector is looking for a talented and proactive Internal Auditor to join our this crucial role you will be instrumental in ensuring the effectiveness of our management systems driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
What Youll Be Doing:
As an Internal Auditor you will play a vital role in evaluating and improving our internal controls and compliance processes. Your key responsibilities will include:
Planning executing and reporting on internal audits across various aspects of the business with a focus on compliance with relevant legislation industry standards and internal policies.
Contributing to the maintenance and improvement of our management systems.
Following up on audit findings and recommendations to ensure timely and effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Working collaboratively with operational teams to promote a strong understanding of compliance requirements.
Assisting with the preparation for and coordination of external audits.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date audit records.
Contributing to the development and delivery of compliance-related training.
What Were Looking For:
We are seeking an individual with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential risks. Ideally you will have:
Proven experience in conducting internal audits and Assurance visits.
A strong understanding of compliance frameworks and principles.
Qualification in Internal Auditing (e.g. CQI / IRCA) or a strong understanding of ISO 9001 principles would be highly advantageous.
A background or demonstrable understanding of Health and Safety principles and practices would be beneficial.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
The ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively.
