The Parts Counter Person is responsible for delivering excellent customer service and supporting retail and internal parts sales within our dealership. This role works closely with technicians service advisors and customers to ensure the correct parts are identified ordered and delivered efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Manage the parts sales process from start to finish for retail and internal customers
Assist customers and service staff in identifying and purchasing the correct parts
Work with the Parts Manager to locate parts not currently in stock
Process and track special-order parts
Communicate clearly with customers regarding order status and availability
Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stocking and organization
Ensure compliance with company policies and all federal state and local regulations
Provide friendly professional service to customers and internal team members
Follow all safety policies and procedures
Previous dealership parts or service department experience preferred
Knowledge of automobiles and automotive parts
Ability to quickly identify customer or technician needs
Strong communication organizational and time-management skills
Basic computer skills and ability to learn dealership systems and new technology
Strong reading math and attention-to-detail skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Positive professional attitude with a strong work ethic
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience with auto parts sales preferred
