Chapman Collision Center is looking for an experienced Parts Counterperson to contribute to our dynamic team! The Parts Counterperson plays a vital role in the vehicle repair process by ensuring technicians receive the required parts in a timely manner. This role oversees parts ordering receiving and invoicing and assists with inventory control. To be successful candidates should have body shop parts experience computer literacy and exceptional organization skills.

Core Responsibilities:
- Review repair estimates and check parts availability.
- Pull required parts from stock for technicians verifying parts numbers and compatibility with vehicle make and model.
- Manage the parts ordering process: verify the accuracy of parts numbers on repair estimates create and submitting orders and receive orders into inventory.
- Track backordered parts and follow up with suppliers as needed.
- Keep estimators and technicians updated on parts order status notifying them of any delays.
- Ensure accurate invoicing of parts on repair orders.
- Process exchanges and returns and manage credits.
- Contribute to shop production by receiving and dispersing parts in a timely manner.
- Assist with inventory control. Ensure parts labeled correctly and stored in designated locations.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 1 year of body shop parts experience is required.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with CCC One estimating software and accurate data entry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates effective time management skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical requirements include walking and standing for extended periods and lifting parts weighing 30 lbs.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Hours and Work Environment
Monday Friday 7:30am 5:30pm. The Parts Counterperson works in a fast-paced climate-controlled parts warehouse and body shop collaborating with other parts personnel technicians and estimators. This role reports to the Body Shop Manager.
