Job Summary
An Azure Data Engineer designs builds and maintains scalable data solutions on Microsoft Azure. The role focuses on data ingestion transformation storage and analytics to support business intelligence reporting and advanced analytics.
Key Responsibilities-
Design and develop data pipelines using Azure services such as Azure Data Factory Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Databricks

Build and manage data lakes using Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)

Optimize data storage and performance for large-scale datasets
-
Implement ETL/ELT processes to transform raw data into analytics-ready formats
-
Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
-
Ensure data quality reliability and security
-
Collaborate with data analysts data scientists and stakeholders
-
Monitor troubleshoot and optimize data workflows
-
Implement CI/CD and version control for data solutions
-
Strong experience with Microsoft Azure data services
-
Proficiency in SQL
-
Experience with Python Scala or Spark

Hands-on knowledge of:

Azure Data Factory

Azure Synapse Analytics

Azure Databricks

Azure Data Lake

Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling

Experience with big data concepts and distributed systems

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field

Microsoft certification (e.g. DP-203: Azure Data Engineer Associate)

Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools

Knowledge of DevOps CI/CD pipelines and Git

Familiarity with streaming tools (e.g. Event Hubs Kafka)

Strong problem-solving abilities

Good communication and teamwork skills
