Shall be responsible for product and system quality for following products manufactured
Electro Hydraulic Actuators
Pneumatic Actuators
Product Quality to be achieved at all stages of manufacturing namely
Incoming components Quality (Suppliers components)
Process Quality
Final Product Quality
Suppliers Quality
Assessing the manufacturability of components.
Accessing the suppliers capability to produce the components
Plan for gauges requirements
Main contributor in the team of Rejection and Rework analysis on daily basis.
Decide the process parameters or change the process if required especially for quality
issues/ cost/ lead time aspects.
Root cause analysis/ Why Why analysis/ suggest and implement solutions (CAPA) to
reduce the rejections.
Update documents and train suppliers on changed process (as required)
Process Quality
Lead the Operations Improvement Team to reduce the defects.
Defects analysis to be done on daily basis.
Root cause analysis/ Why Why analysis/ suggest and implement solutions (CAPA) to
reduce the defects.
Update documents and train related impacted persons on changed process.
Final Product Quality
Customer complaints analysis
Root cause analysis/ 8D process to implement the CAPA to reduce the customer
complaints.
Update documents and train related impacted persons on changed process.
Improvements need to be implemented with proper tools and techniques like
deployment of APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning) DFMEA PFMEA
Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) Machine and Process Capability Study Control
Plans Product Part Approval Process (PPAP) 8D Problem Solving Process 7 QC Tools
Poka Yoke 5S Kaizen.
Process Knowledge
Expect to have good amount of knowledge in following fields to ultimately enhance the
Product Quality.
a) SGI casting (20 to 1000 Kgs)/ Investment casting SS and WCB
b) Aluminium (AI) Die Casting (Low Pressure and High Pressure)
c) Aluminium Extrusion
d) Machining of parts SGI SS WCB castings/ Al castings/ Al Extrusion on CNC Turning VMC and HMC machines.
Machining sequence and process capability
e) Cylindrical Grinding and Honing
f) Spring manufacturing (cold and hot rolled)
g) Laser cutting
h) Plastic Moulding
i) Rubber Moulding
j) Welding of Cast Steel and SS parts (WPS and PQR)/ MIG and Arc welding
k) Shot blasting Painting Pickling Anodising and various platings.
l) Non destructive testing Radigraphy/ LPT/ MPI/ UT
m) Destructive testing Chemical/ Mechanical
n) Concentricity Oblong Face runout Flatness Parallelism Surface Finish
Product Certifications
Knowledge of various certifications like PESO ATEX IECEx CRTU UL PED FM SIL is
added advantage.
Coordination
Expect good coordination with other QA vertical namely
QA - TPI IMS System and Product Life Testing
Good Communication Skills
Reporting to Product Quality Manager
Education - BE Mech/ Production
Exposure to automobile industry/ Industry having machine shop set up/ Hydraulic
components or accessories manufacturing industry.
Experience around 5 years
