Job Summary
Job Title: Senior Technical Business Analyst
Location: Trivandrum (Preferred) Open to candidates across India
Work Hours: 8-hour shift within 7:30 PM IST 4:30 AM IST
Experience: 8 years overall 6 years as Technical Business Analyst
Compensation: INRper annum
About the Role
We are looking for a highly analytical and motivated Senior Technical Business Analyst to bridge business needs and technical this role you will transform high-level business problem statements into clearly defined projects analytical models and development-ready user stories.
You will work closely with business stakeholders data engineers BI teams and product teams across the full data lifecycle-from problem discovery and data exploration to insights delivery and measurable business outcomes. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about data analytics and structured problem-solving in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Analytical Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand high-level problem statements and translate them into detailed requirements and project scope
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends patterns and actionable insights
- Create and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) user stories process flows and analytical documentation
- Convert business needs into clear concise and development-ready user stories and tasks in Jira
Data & Technical Responsibilities
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to design review and validate data pipelines data models and ETL/ELT workflows
- Build dashboards reports and visualizations using BI tools to effectively communicate insights
- Apply foundational data science techniques including statistical analysis basic predictive modeling and ML fundamentals
- Validate data quality accuracy and consistency across multiple data sources and systems
Collaboration & Execution
- Work closely with product engineering BI and operations teams to support end-to-end delivery of analytics solutions
- Support development testing and deployment of data-driven solutions
- Present findings insights and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Required Skill Sets
Must-Have Skills
- 6 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation
- Experience with Data Visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Foundational knowledge of Data Engineering concepts including ETL/ELT data warehousing and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and statistical modeling
- Strong business analysis problem framing and requirement-gathering skills

- Excellent analytical and structured problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication documentation and presentation skills
- Ability to translate business problems into technical and analytical solutions
- High curiosity adaptability and eagerness to learn new tools and technologies
Educational Qualifications
- BE / or equivalent degree in:
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- Data Science
- Related technical disciplines
Nice to Have
- Exposure to predictive analytics or machine learning use cases
- Certifications in data analytics cloud platforms or BI tools
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
