Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead health education and training projects from initiation through this role you will align service and technological solutions with business objectives serving as the primary liaison between Syra Health technical teams and client executives. You will ensure seamless coordination of project activities adherence to timelines and successful delivery of all contractual deliverables while also driving business development and managing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead proposal development and RFP/RFQ responses for state government contracts ensuring competitive positioning and win strategies.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with healthcare payers pharmaceutical companies and state/federal agencies.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including FSSA DCS state health departments and commercial clients.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive Project Management Plans including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) Gantt charts and RACI matrices.
- Define project scope objectives and deliverables aligned with Scope of Work (SOW) requirements and legislative mandates.
- Coordinate curriculum development activities using the ADDIE model ensuring deliverables meet client requirements and timelines.
- Manage program and project budgets track expenditures and ensure cost-effective resource utilization.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for training delivery client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Deploy and manage project management tools (SharePoint conference lines email systems) for team collaboration.
- Serve as primary Point of Contact (POC) and liaison with State agencies and commercial clients.
- Conduct project kickoff meetings biweekly status meetings and stakeholder reviews with key decision-makers.
- Provide regular status updates progress reports and risk assessments to stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Manage change control processes using formal procedures for scope or requirement modifications.
- Establish and execute sign-off procedures for key deliverables ensuring quality control and accountability.
- Identify assess and mitigate program or project risks through proactive risk management strategies.
- Address issues and concerns promptly escalating to senior leadership when necessary.
- Ensure all training programs meet contractual requirements State/Federal regulations and industry quality standards.
- Ensure effective collaboration and communication across all team members using consensus-driven decision-making.
- Lead mentor and develop a team of direct reports and cross-functional teams.
- Foster a culture of health equity cultural competency and person-centered approaches aligned with CLAS standards.
- Coordinate deliverables from subcontractors and MBE/WBE/IVOSB partners.
- Facilitate content feedback review cycles with SMEs State authorities and instructional design teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of project management experience with demonstrated expertise in PMBOK methodology and proficiency in Agile and Waterfall approaches. Experience managing state government contracts and navigating government procurement processes.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration Healthcare Management Education or related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required; Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Skills: Strong data analysis and financial expertise for budget management and reporting. Experience with healthcare training LMS implementations or curriculum development projects. Background working with FSSA Indiana state agencies or similar government entities preferred. Familiarity with ADDIE instructional design model and adult learning principles.
- Location: Remote with occasional travel as required.
