JOB TITLE: Structures & Payload Design Engineer
LOCATION: Evrett WA
PAY RATE: $62.50/hour

Summary:

Support a statement of work spanning the full product lifecycle including:
- Customer configuration development
- Supplier engagement
- Validating and verifying design requirements
- Integrating business needs
- Supporting the product through production and certification
Collaborate with project and production engineering teams program/product teams management and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions
Leverage the expertise and resources of the interiors organization to deliver top-tier interiors products for the aerospace industry
Assist in developing integrating and documenting structural and interior payload system requirements to establish system design
Develop maintain and modify structural and interior payload system/component designs using 3-D CAD tools or other methods
Provide product definition to engineering groups production operations suppliers and customers throughout the product lifecycle
Perform tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
Support supplier development testing production activities and coordination to optimize design and achieve program goals
Contribute to investigating emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs
Work under general supervision

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical Civil Aerospace/Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
2 years of experience in aerospace engineering design criteria and engineering release processes
Experience in engineering support within a production system
Direct engagement with aerospace suppliers or airlines
Experience supporting validation of compliance to regulatory requirements
Experience working with regulators
Knowledge of design for manufacturing
Experience with aircraft cargo compartment and handling system design integration and/or certification
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR)

Preferred Qualifications:

Understanding and experience with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA equivalent
Experience in aerospace interiors materials design criteria and release processes
2 years of program/project management experience including schedule financial and resource management
Experience working in cross-functional teams
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Ability to communicate effectively using a variety of media
Demonstrated interest in continuous personal learning and development
