The Role:

Develop and test of process technology to manufacture advance component products

Engage with the Product Engineers to evaluate design changes

Develop assembly process for the manufacturability of the advance components

Work will involve development and testing of advanced products and process technology

Develop capital investment proposal for the manufacturing of advance component

Engineer Design Build and Implement machinery tools & equipment for Manufacturing Optimization Productivity Continuous Improvement Projects

What Youll Do:

Direct the design construction integration plant installation successful launch and continuous improvement of equipment and tools required in plants to produce high-quality parts and propulsion products

Monitor expenditures and timing for the program and/or equipment ensuring spending stays within allocated budget

Flexibility to work during holidays and weekends to support installation of equipment at Plants

Provide technical direction to and oversight of outside vendor sources.

Equipment Runoff @ OEM

Develop and maintain necessary documentation (PFD PFMEA PCP)

Leverage GD&T skillsets to ensure manufacturing equipment tooling assembly processes and quality verifications procedures meet design requirement.

PFMEAs Review / Simulation Review / Control Plans / Launch Deliverables

Participate in the Project meetings

Supports plant floor equipment installation tracking and countermeasures.

Develop and lead the PPAP review meetings in area of responsibility utilizing the PPAP checklist capturing exceptions.

Lead the lessons learned gathering activity and feedback the information to the central process team for BOE/BOP updates.

Closure of all ME open issues for Manufacturing Deliverables

Participate in forecasting and forward planning activities

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience.

5 years of assembly or machining process development experience in Manufacturing or Manufacturing Engineering discipline with plant floor experience.

Knowledge of or experience with Bill of Equipment (BOE) Bill of Process (BOP) Bill of Operations (BOO) for valvetrain components

Strong technical knowledge & ability in process engineering disciplines and product development process

Experience in process development specification procurement and qualification of assembly equipment & tooling.

Solid understanding of high-volume manufacturing & assembly processes

Demonstrated level of analytical ability communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with team members and customers to solve problems and resolve issues.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and complex projects with a high level of autonomy and accountability for results.

Manufacturing Engineer assignments with successful individual achievements or strong team-based achievements.

Demonstrated interest and ability to learn and apply agile methodologies throughout project.

Ability to use computer interpret blueprints engineering drawings and learn new systems.

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

Demonstrated understanding of plant floor and design for manufacturability.

ME assignments with successful individual achievements or strong team-based achievements.

Knowledge of or experience with propulsion or valvetrain component processes BOE BOP BOSE and BOO preferred

Knowledge of AutoCAD Team Center Microsoft Project Simulation.

Statistical problem solving training

Proficient working in development environments
