The Sr. Sales Engineer / Assistant Manager Sales will be responsible for developing and managing customer relationships within the assigned territory. The role focuses on driving enquiry generation validating technical requirements managing key accounts and achieving regional sales targets for material handling equipment and heavy-duty racking solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a strong customer network across potential market segments
- Promote products and strengthen brand presence in the assigned territory
- Validate customer enquiries and assess technical and application requirements
- Drive enquiry generation through cold calling and proactive sales initiatives
- Create and execute account development plans for key customers
- Achieve assigned sales targets in terms of value and volume
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions
- Deliver technical and commercial presentations to customers and internal teams
- Stay updated on product developments and technological advancements
- Understand and communicate basic commercial terms related to projects
- Ensure timely collection of customer payments
- Travel extensively within the territory (1215 days per month)
Requirements
- B.E / / Diploma in Mechanical or EEE
- 25 years of experience in sales of material handling equipment or heavy-duty racking systems
- Strong domain knowledge in application engineering for material handling solutions
- Good analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Persuasive solution-oriented and customer-focused approach
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Well-groomed with a professional and presentable personality
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region
