We are supporting our client Metro Community Housing - a leading provider of safe secure and sustainable housing for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The team are committed to delivering person-centred trauma-informed services that empower individuals and strengthen communities and are needing a dedicated Housing Officer to join the team in Newtown.
About the Role
As a Housing Officer you will manage a portfolio of properties and be the primary point of contact for tenants ensuring they receive high-quality respectful and responsive tenancy services. You will work closely with tenants support partners and community organisations to help people sustain their housing and improve long-term wellbeing.
This is a hands-on varied role that includes managing tenancy applications sign-ups inspections rent arrears complaints and disputes. You will also coordinate repairs and maintenance manage vacancies and represent Metro at the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal when required. Accurate record keeping strong communication skills and an ability to work within legal and policy frameworks with a person centred approach are essential.
Full time with some flexibility considered - ie we would consider 5 days working across school hours for example.
