Job Summary

Our client is seeking a highly skilled IT Projects Business Analyst with strong front-office trading systems experience to support the buildout of a new trade capture system and Middle Office (MO) booking system. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in commodity trading price risk management or capital markets with strong business analysis skills and a proven ability to work in fast-paced trading environments. Experience with Endur or other ETRM systems is highly preferred but not mandatory.

Role Overview

Collaborate with traders developers and business stakeholders to capture and document functional and technical requirements for trading and booking systems.
Map RFQ order and trade lifecycles to formulate solutions that improve efficiency and system performance.
Act as a subject matter expert for trading system initiatives ensuring alignment with front-office needs and compliance standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development QA infrastructure and production support teams.
Contribute to the design and delivery of scalable compliant and flexible trading technology solutions including algorithmic trading systems.
Assist with vendor and third-party integrations ensuring robust connectivity and smooth deployment processes.

Required Industry Knowledge

Deep understanding of global futures exchanges and full exchange-traded derivatives trade lifecycles.
8 years of experience in commodity trading price risk management or capital markets/investment banking.
Familiarity with market data providers (Bloomberg Refinitiv) and liquidity aggregation platforms.
Knowledge of key financial regulations (MiFID II EMIR FCA) and related compliance requirements.

Key Skills & Experience

Hands-on experience with third-party networks and EMS/OMS software vendors (e.g. TT NYFIX Bloomberg TradingScreen).
Strong understanding of trading lifecycle processes including order capture execution allocation workflow settlement and compliance.
Solid experience in FIX engineering messaging systems and debugging network protocols (e.g. TCP multicast).
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python PowerShell C# SQL.
Experience in regulatory initiative implementations (e.g. MiFID II MAD/MAR).
Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating environments.
Proven ability to support exchange certification application deployments and vendor management.
