Job Summary
If you are a passionate leader capable of maintaining a strong safety culture and safe work environment Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you. Based in our Sherman TX plant you will work in a dynamic high-tech production facility. This hands-on leadership role ensures compliance with customer requirements while leading coaching and coordinating staff and inspection activities. This role is for 2nd Shift which works a schedule of 2 pm to 12 midnight Monday through Thursday.
- Maintaining a safe quality conscious and cost-effective operation.
- Leading training evaluating and scheduling work for teammates throughout the department holding regular toolbox meetings to discuss performance against targets problems and the days work schedule.
- Planning and driving the completion of training and development of assigned personnel in support of achieving objectives including attaining the necessary degree of cross-training.
- Driving Quality Improvements Initiatives including the promotion and achievement of continuous improvement of cost and lead-time reduction.
- Ensuring effective team communication to maintain dedication to objectives and hold meetings.
- Implementing lean manufacturing strategies into assigned area(s) through kaizen events value stream mapping and 6 S.
You carefully consider all relevant factors and use appropriate decision-making criteria and principles. You display a can-do attitude in good and challenging times. You establish and maintain effective customer relationships. You develop others through coaching feedback exposure and stretch assignments.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3 years of demonstrated quality assurance experience with understanding of quality assurance standards and processes.
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing.
- Demonstrated leadership supervisory team building and problem-solving skills.
- Communicate effectively to provide information to all levels of employees in a global organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
- Bachelors degree in related field.
- 3 years of demonstrated supervisory experience in quality or manufacturing.
- ASQ certification as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
- Experience in process improvement and documentation in an ISO9001 environment.
- Supplier Quality Management experience.
