This role is a full-time permanent position working Monday-Friday5:00 AM 1:30 PM.
What you will do as aFinger Joint Layup Operator:
Safety set upoperate andmaintaincritical production equipment to ensure efficient running of production.
Inspectworksiteto ensureequipmentis in normal and correct operatingcondition.
Report any product inconsistencies andworkingwith maintenance to fix issues as they arise.
Observeand follow all rules and regulationsto contribute to a safe work environment.
Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner.
Perform and complete preventative maintenance (PMs) on machine(s).
Liftingandcarrying boards and debris with exposure to dust while contributing to the overall cleanliness of the site.
Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals.
Experience and skills that will help you stand out:
Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner in a fast-paced production environment.
Willingnesstolearnthe Finger Joint production process including production quality and grading of lumber.
Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks for extendedperiodsof time including piling lumber standing for long hours walking climbing stairs bending andliftingupto50lbs.
Frequent forward and lateral reaching involving repetitive movements of the shoulders elbows and wrists.
Ability to work in an environment that includes exposure to environmental elements moving mechanical equipment loud noise and dust.
Experience working in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment would be considered a plus. Knowledge of the lumber manufacturing process would be an asset.
Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with co-workers.
High degree of urgency and attention to detail.
