The position

As the Director of Business Development & Partnerships you will:

  • Serve as Key Account Manager (KAM) for multi-regional International Operations strategic partners owning commercial relationships strategic expansion plans and performance tracking.
  • Design and implement business development frameworks best practices and governance to enable and accelerate local and regional partnerships.
  • Drive the online selling partnership agenda across International Operations ensuring strong stakeholder management with regional leads and IO-SO Commercial Insights Marketing & Medical Legal etc.
  • Conduct market assessments and data-driven analysis to scout and prioritize new partnership opportunities.
  • Act as a strategic co-creator with partners to develop and scale online selling solutions.
  • Negotiate structure and close strategic partnerships that deliver measurable commercial impact.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who can bring the following qualifications and skills:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in business development strategy or partnerships preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Proven track record in identifying and negotiating strategic partnerships and driving revenue growth.
  • Experience in e-health channels and direct-to-patient business models is paramount.
  • Experience in commercial strategy sales channels or new product development is highly desirable.
  • Deep understanding of market trends competitive landscapes and customers needs to identify and evaluate new sales and marketing growth opportunities.
  • Strategic leadership in developing and negotiating partnerships driving business growth and aligning with organizational goals.
  • Strong analytical financial skills leveraging data and innovation to identify new opportunities and optimize outcomes.
  • Proven ability to build relationships lead cross-functional teams and communicate complex strategies effectively to diverse stakeholders.

About the department

Business Integrity Legal & Development (BILD) is based at Novo Nordisks IO - SO (International Operations - Strategic Office) in Zurich and plays a pivotal role in co-driving and supporting business growth while safeguarding the company and its patients. With a collaborative and dynamic atmosphere the BILD team goes beyond traditional advisory roles to partner with the business driving innovation managing risks and empowering functions to seize opportunities.
