Maintenance Technician

The Episcopal Academy seeks a dependable detail-oriented maintenance professional who works effectively both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate communicates clearly prioritizes tasks efficiently exercises sound judgment under pressure and approaches their work with a strong customer-service mindset and commitment to safety.
What You Will Do
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as painting light carpentry drywall repair and basic plumbing and electrical work
- Maintain and service heating cooling plumbing and HVAC systems including filter changes
- Complete minor repairs (locks fixtures hardware etc.)
- Support coworkers contractors and campus partners as needed
- Assist with event setup and breakdown for campus programs and special events
- Follow all safety regulations and policies
- Assist with snow removal including shoveling salting sanding and operating snow removal vehicles and equipment (requires 24-hour on-call availability during inclement weather).
About You
The ideal candidate for the Maintenance Technician at The Episcopal Academy will possess the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Working knowledge of tools equipment and common maintenance systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Physically able to kneel climb lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions
- Clean driving record and ability to meet state and federal driving requirements
- Ability to successfully complete required state and federal clearances
- Reliable safety-minded and able to respond to on-call needs and emergency situation
- Committed to contributing positively to a collaborative mission-driven school community
