Short Description
Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) needed for a rotating Day/Evening/Night (D/E/N) schedule. Position includes on-call/callback floating and weekend/holiday coverage based on unit needs. High-acuity environment within a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Job Duties:
The Operating Room provides care for a diverse surgical population in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma Center. Surgical specialties include but are not limited to:
Orthopedics
General Surgery
Plastics & Reconstructive Surgery
Urology
Cardiac
Neuro
Vascular
Ophthalmic
Gynecology (GYN)
ENT
Thoracic
Oral-Maxillofacial
Trauma
The department operates two Da Vinci robotic systems utilized across multiple specialties. The transplant program includes liver kidney and heart transplants. The OR RN is expected to scrub and circulate ensuring patient safety sterile technique and effective collaboration with the surgical team.
Job Requirements:
Active New York State RN License (ONLY)
Minimum two (2) years of Operating Room experience
Level 1 Trauma OR experience preferred
Ability to scrub and circulate
Certifications:
BLS American Heart Association (REQUIRED)
ACLS Preferred
Preferred Surgical Experience:
Transplant procedures
Plastics & reconstructive cases
Craniotomy
Strong orthopedic background
Behavioral & Professional Characteristics:
Strong clinical judgment in high-acuity settings
Ability to adapt to rotating shifts and complex case mixes
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Commitment to patient safety and surgical excellence
Pay Package Details 13 Weeks 36 Hours Per Week $25.00 Hourly taxable $0.00 OT Hourly taxable $430.00 Meals & Incidentals Per Diem (Tax Free) $850.00 Lodging Per Diem (Tax Free) $900.00 Taxable $1280.00 Tax Free $2180.00 Weekly Before Taxes
