Position Overview
As a Safety Specialist you will support day-to-day safety operations in the field ensuring compliance with local state and federal regulations as well as company safety standards. This role plays a key part in promoting a positive safety culture and providing guidance to field crews and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular site safety audits inspections and hazard assessments
- Assist crews with Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and safety planning
- Provide hands-on coaching and guidance to ensure safe work practices
- Investigate incidents near misses and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting
- Support onboarding and ongoing safety training for field personnel
- Help develop and reinforce company safety initiatives
Qualifications- Five (5) years in construction safety working in construction environments
- OSHA 30
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety practices
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to identify hazards and recommend practical solutions
- Experience with field incident investigations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
