Job Summary

Sizer School is seeking a positive organized and enthusiastic Boys Middle School Basketball Coach to lead and develop student-athletes in grades 78. The coach will be responsible for teaching fundamental basketball skills promoting teamwork and sportsmanship and fostering a supportive inclusive environment that emphasizes personal growth and character development alongside athletic Responsibilities:Plan and conduct age-appropriate practices (2 per week) focused on skill development teamwork and game understandingCoach and supervise students during practices games and team-related activitiesEmphasize sportsmanship respect effort and responsibility at all timesServe as a positive role model and mentor for middle school studentsCommunicate effectively with players families and school administratorsEnsure student safety and adherence to school and league policiesSupport academic expectations and reinforce school valuesQualifications:Experience coaching or playing basketball (middle school or youth level preferred)Ability to work effectively with middle school-aged studentsStrong communication organization and leadership skillsCommitment to fostering an inclusive development-focused team cultureCompletion of required background checks certifications and school-mandated trainingSeason Details:Practices and games held after school during the winter season games are held at the Leominster Boys/Girls Club on Thursday evening and after schoolStipend position (amount determined by school)Equal Opportunity Statement:Sizer School is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in its athletic programs.
