Job Summary

We co-founded and led Viafintech (Barzahlen) to 100 FTE one of the most successful German fintechs active in 17 markets across the EU and USA and sold it in 2021 for a three-digit million amount to NYSE-listed Paysafe Group.

Now were off to our next venture. This time were building a global champion for prepaid products: gift cards (Apple Amazon Google) airtime and eCash all in one simple API. Think of finperks as a stripe/adyen for all prepaid products and payments.

We started in summer 2025 and in just a few months we have already onboarded 700 brands and our first client goes live by the end of the year.

Many people completely underestimate the market size: about 600bn sold per year today going to 1.8tn by 2028.

Instead of 5 players in the chain (brand issuing tech provider global distributor local distributor client) we connect brands directly with clients via the finperks platform. Today 95% of prepaid is still sold in the Global North; we believe that for the gig economy to monetize the Global South prepaid will be key - from Netflix and Google to Apple and Uber.

This is not our first company. Weve already built and scaled a fintech successfully.

What were building now is bigger and global by design.

This time the goal is clear:

To build the leading global platform for gift cards and digital prepaid products and leave a footprint that matters.

How I think about work: I dont believe in pre-emptive learning. What youve learned so far doesnt matter much to me because most of it fades anyway. What stays is what youve actually done. I believe learning happens downstream from doing. Here you wont say:

  • I learned how partnerships work
  • I learned how negotiations are done

Instead youll say: I helped bring global brands onto a new platform and built real partnerships from zero. And that will say everything about you.

Your Mission

Youll help us build the largest global platform for gift cards & digital prepaid products.

Your focus will be on global brand partnerships working directly with the worlds leading issuers and brands.

What this role is about

Youll work with companies like: Apple Google Amazon Netflix Uber Zalando Flixbus PlayStation Nintendo and other global brands.

Requirements

  • 612 months of relevant work experience in startups consulting investment or fintech
  • Proven ability to manage projects independently and take full ownership from planning to execution
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in PowerPoint Excel and modern tools (e.g. Notion Pipedrive Clay AI tools)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on mentality and willingness to learn fast
  • Passion for entrepreneurship venture building and technology
