CP&P is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with strong welding and fabrication experience to join the team at our Ashland VA precast play a key role in maintaining repairing and fabricating equipment and structures to ensure smooth and safe production operations.What Youll Do:
Perform welding and fabrication repairs on plant equipment machinery and structural components
Perform welding and fabrication repairs on plant equipment machinery and structural components
Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues
Fabricate metal parts and assemblies as needed to support production
Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime
Maintain maintenance records and follow safety protocols
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and safety
What You Bring:
Proven welding and metal fabrication skills (MIG TIG Stick welding preferred)
Experience in mechanical maintenance and repair
Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and fabrication drawings
Strong problem-solving and hands-on skills
Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Relevant welding/fabrication and maintenance experience preferably in manufacturing

What You Need:
A high school diploma or GED
Relevant welding/fabrication and maintenance experience preferably in manufacturing
U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States for any employer
A valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Typical Schedule:
Monday to Friday 40 hours per week depending on workload
Overtime and weekend work may be required during peak production periods
Physical Demands:
Standing sitting walking climbing reaching bending/stooping
Lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
Pushing/pulling (up to 50 lbs.)
Work Environment:
Work is performed in a production environment with exposure to ambient weather and air conditions loud noise dangerous equipment and variable lighting
