Position Highlights
Spencer Hospital is a rural hospitallocated in northwest Iowa employing over 500 employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers if accepted are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.
Responsibilities:
- The Vice President of Finance is responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of hospital operations.
- Provides leadership and coordination in the administrative business planning accounting patient financial services and budgeting efforts of the hospital. Serves as compliance officer for the hospital.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or related field (Masters degree preferred).
- CPA CFA or HFMA certification strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
- Proven track record in budget management financial planning and cost containment within a multi-hospital or health system environment.
- Experience with healthcare reimbursement models Medicare/Medicaid regulations and value-based care strategies.
- Excellent analytical communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with clinical operational and executive teams.
Schedule:
- 80 hours per pay period salaried exempt
- Typical working hours Monday-Friday - 8a-5p
- The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
