Your Role and Responsibilities
Responsible for PAS developments including governance of vendors to deliver solutions
Responsible for PAS developments from end-to-end including support IT/ST/UAT as needed.
Contribute to PAS transformation related to the IT Modernization program in Japan.
Provide guidance to other development team members as needed.
Communicate and guide vendor development team to ensure the direction and delivery quality.
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree Computer Science or related field
Japanese language: N3 & above. English business fluency
Experience:
-8 years IT delivery experience
-Tier 1 insurance carrier transformation experience preferred
- Familiar with commonly used insurance system packages preferred
Insurance Knowledge- Comprehensive knowledge of insurance product definition rating engine underwriting rules regulatory reporting
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of COBOL/Assembler/JCL/CICS/IMSDB/zOS Connect.
- Mastery in IBM mainframe platform environment setup
- Experience in integration of IBM mainframe and open systems
Leadership:
- Exhibits confidence in self and others; inspires and motivates others to perform well with excellent coaching skills.
Collaboration:
- Ability to operate and have credibility with business partners
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability for productive collaboration across varying departments. Comfortable building relationships internally and externally
