We are seeking an experienced and motivated Utilities Project Manager to join our this role you will lead a variety of municipal infrastructure projects including water sewer and stormwater. Water and sewer work includes transmission system pump stations and plant work. This is an exceptional opportunity to become a key member of our highly qualified collaborative and motivated team that makes a difference for local governments and the communities they serve.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the design and delivery of utility projects for municipal clients focused on water and wastewater treatment distribution collection and transmission.
- Prepare review and approve design plans specifications and cost estimates.
- Coordinate with municipal clients contractors subconsultants and regulatory agencies to ensure projects meet all applicable standards and permitting requirements.
- Provide technical support services for regulatory compliance by public water and wastewater utilities.
- Lead project scheduling budgeting and contract administration efforts to ensure on-time on-budget performance.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
- Conduct field visits site evaluations and progress inspections as needed.
- Prepare project reports presentations and documentation for municipal staff elected officials and public meetings.
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Chemical Engineering
- Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible civil engineering experience including project management.
- Proven experience delivering municipal infrastructure projects (public works utilities drainage or transportation).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of conventional and advanced treatment processes water chemistry and modeling in water and wastewater utility design and good understanding of current rules and regulations associated with water and wastewater design elements.
- Strong understanding of government permitting processes.
