Your Impact:
Under the leadership of the Director of Talent Acquisition you will be a part of the team that manages the life cycle of vacancies within the agency. Our goal is to recruit and retain a talented driven workforce to further the mission of creating and preserving affordable housing.
Your Role:
Under the general direction of the Director of Talent Acquisition the Human Resources Generalist will serve as part of a team and will be responsible for providing statistical data analysis and reporting for the Human Resources Division. The Human Resources Generalist will also support staff members on a variety of Human Resources programs and provide counsel and advice to staff as appropriate.
Your Responsibilities:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work closely with the Talent Acquisition Director to support current high-volume agency recruitment efforts for the Office of CRM TECH & APM & OENS including Code Enforcement Litigation AEP etc. CDBG actions:
Your responsibilities:
- Conduct day-to-day recruiting activities to fill requisitions for all agency vacancies
- Perform searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria using computer databases networking internet recruiting resources media and employee referrals
- Build relationships with industry sources such as colleges/universities with urban planning/development programs community sources professional associations and other resources
- Create and maintain an applicant tracking system to capture candidate information and track outcomes
- Prepare necessary documents related to the interview and recruitment process as needed
- Participate at recruiting events as needed
- Aid in the design development and execution of recruitment-related projects
- Assist with marketing recruitment strategies and post on various social media platforms including LinkedIn
- Assist with agency civil service hiring pools
- Provide administrative support to Human Resources division as needed
- Participate in special projects as needed. Conduct day to day timekeeping functions to the division of OENSCRM/APM/TECH.
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Division as needed
- Provide support to OENS CRM APM & TECH with all outstanding Timekeeping issues
- Commits to meeting the expectations of internal staff and effectively responds to there inquires
- Aid in the design development and execution of recruitment-related projects
- Assists with agency civil service hiring pools
- Participate in special projects as needed
- Creates and maintain an applicant tracking system to capture candidate information and track outcomes
Preferred skills
-Knowledge of citywide database (i.e NYCAPS CHRMS PRISE and PMS required)
-Stellar customer service skills
-Thorough knowledge of recruitment and selection techniques
-Strong work ethic attention to detail and ability to complete tasks in a timely fashion with limited supervision
-Outstanding organization and communication skills especially written communication
-Excellent MS Word MS Excel MS PowerPoint MS Visio and MS Outlook skills
-Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
-Ability to perform a variety of administrative duties including but not limited to reviewing analyzing and reconciling data from multiple sources

Qualifications :
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to 1 or 2 above. However all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in 1 above.
