The Coordinator of Clinical Support Services provides Tier 3 clinical support to students and families supports the assessment coordination and implementation of district-wide mental health and wellness initiatives and provides clinical supervision and case consultation to counsellors and CCYWs. The role also supports the promotion of ongoing professional learning and capacity building within the district to strengthen school-based mental health supports. This district position reports to the District Vice Principal of Safe and Caring Schools.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide Tier clinical assessment and intervention for students extending support to families where appropriate.
  • Deliver individual and group clinical supervision and case consultation to school-based counsellors and CCYWs.
  • Collaborate with Principals and the District Wellness Team to enhance and align student mental health supports with evolving needs.
  • Support the development of school-based capacity through mentorship psycho-education training and resource development.
  • Facilitate professional learning in-services and district-wide professional develoment for educators counsellors CCYWs and Education Assistants.
  • Maximize district resources through effective coordination and alignment of supports and services.
  • Consult in reviewing and informing district policies procedures and service delivery models related to mental health and social-emotional learning (SEL).
  • Liaise with community agencies and represent the district on committees (eg. Situation Table) to ensure collaboration and continuity of care.
  • Support schools in data collection improvement planning and the review of student support services including identification for Mnistry funding categories (R and H).
  • Contribute to district initiatives related to wellness inclusion and student success.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Counselling Psychology or a related discipline.
  • Eligible for registration with a recognized professional regulatory body (eg. BCACC CCPA BCCSW).
  • MInimum five (5) years of clinical counslling experience with children youth and families.
  • Advanced training in evidence-based treatment modalities (eg. EMDR DBT ACT).
  • Suicide prevention and intervention training; Train-the-Trainer certification preferred.
  • Training in conflict resolution and restorative practices.
  • Experience providing clinical supervision (RCC-ACS or CCS certification preferred).
  • VTRA and/or BDTA certification (Level 2 preferred).
  • Critical Incident Response training.
  • BC Teacher Certification and/or substantial school district experience an asset.
  • Valid BC Drivers License and access to a vehicle for district travel.

Compensation:

  • Salary as per Teachers Collective Agreement. Current salary range is $59724.00 to $110833.00 annually plus comprehensive benefits package.
