The Department of Anesthesiology at Denver Health includes 20 attending physicians and 42 CRNAs who deliver high-quality perioperative care across one of the nations top safety-net systems. CRNAs will work in a collaborative environment evaluating patients pre-operatively formulating the anesthetic plan and administering the anesthesia autonomously. An anesthesiologist is available for consultation and help if needed. Provides anesthesia care for only obstetrical related cases to include caesarean sections epidurals dilation and curettage tubal ligations which can be scheduled or emergency obstetrical procedures. Safely transports patients to and from an anesthetizing location and ensures appropriate care during the postoperative period. Under minimal supervision administers general regional and monitored anesthesia care for scheduled and emergency surgical and obstetrical procedures. Performs anesthesia-related procedures at the discretion of and under the supervision of an attending anesthesiologist. Evaluates patients preoperatively and in consultation with the attending anesthesiologist formulates and carries out an anesthesia care plan including monitoring and recording patient reaction to anesthesia and modifying the anesthetic plan accordingly. Safely transports patients to and from an anesthetizing location and ensures appropriate care during the postoperative period.
