Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse Director is responsible for directing the operation of the hospital during evening night and weekend shifts. This role involves ensuring smooth functioning of the facility handling emergency situations managing staff and providing leadership in an acute care medical center.
Location:North Adams Massachusetts United States
Responsibilities:
- Direct the operation of the hospital during evenings nights and weekends.
- Handle emergency trauma and critical care situations.
- Ensure successful conflict resolution among staff and patients.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of daily operations in an acute care medical center.
- Manage staffing systems effectively.
- Facilitate continuing education and professional growth for nursing staff.
- Perform data entry into electronic medical database systems.
- Documents patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Coordinate equipment/supply needs. Notifies appropriate department of equipment malfunction.
- Performs any other related duties (e.g. clerical technical duties) as assigned.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active MA RN license
- BSN required
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting
- AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Evidence of continuing education and continued professional growth in healthcare and nursing
Special Considerations:
- Rotating weekend 12-hour shifts are required.
Scheduling:
- 40 hours per week
- Shifts will flex between 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM and 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Rotating weekend 12-hour shifts
