The Human Resources Administration (HRA) division of the Georgia Department of Administrative Services (DOAS) is seeking a Human Capital Management (HCM) Training Specialist to support statewide talent solutions with a focus on talent acquisition and performance management programs.
This role will support Georgia agencies in the implementation of the States newest Human Resources Information System Workday () by delivering training consultation data analysis and technical expertise. The ideal candidate is technologically savvy data-driven detail-oriented and innovative with experience in system implementation and training delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:
Delivering training and instructional content related to (Workday).
Providing training and resources to agency recruiters on:
Talent pool optimization
Internship program development
Interviewing and hiring best practices
Using Workday to streamline recruitment processes
Researching training best practices to support continuous program improvement.
Analyzing data and producing graphic and narrative reports and presentations.
Maintaining and updating training materials exercises handouts and exams to:
Reflect best practices
Incorporate policy process or system changes
Address participant feedback
Conducting instructor-led training both virtually and in person for state agency staff.
Utilizing training environments and related tools to facilitate student learning activities.
Assisting with administration of HRAs Learning Management System (LMS) including:
Enrollment requests
Learning paths courses and exams
Other LMS administrative tasks
Responding to requests from a variety of stakeholders.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Experience delivering training through multiple formats including:
In-person
Virtual
Online
Multimedia-based instruction
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage audiences at all organizational levels.
Program and project management skills including organization attention to detail and multitasking.
Aptitude for learning and using technology for both training design and data analysis.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint and SharePoint.
Some travel may be required.

DOAS operates in a hybrid work environment. Telework is encouraged with some in-office days required (schedule to be determined).
While long-term employment is anticipated this position is subject to annual budget approval.
Initial contract runs through the end of the fiscal year and is anticipated to renew on July 1.
High school diploma or GED and three (3) years of job-related experience in human resources;
OR
One (1) year of experience at the lower-level HR Specialist 2 (HRP021) or equivalent position.
Preference will be given to candidates who clearly demonstrate one or more of the following on their resume:
Experience using Workday Core HCM Compensation Talent Optimization (Management) or other Workday modules as an HR administrator or trainer.
HRIS systems training experience.
