This Ceres application is and nbsp;to improve management of plant health data and enable and nbsp;timely and nbsp;access to critical information (present and historical) as well as efficient identification of pest threats. and nbsp;The requirement is to make sure that the CERES application is continuously available while also enabling implementation of bug fixes issue resolution or minor improvements based on user feedback. and nbsp; and nbsp;

We are looking for a and nbsp;senior full stack software developer and nbsp;who and nbsp;will and nbsp;be responsible for and nbsp;providing maintenance and support for theCeres and nbsp;application.

The and nbsp;Ceres and nbsp;application and nbsp;is and nbsp;built using MERN and nbsp;(MongoDB Express React ) and nbsp;technology stack and hosted on Azure OPS tenant. and nbsp;The work activities for Ceres Maintenance and Support will entail:

Responding to and resolving any issues reported on the application and ensuring that the application is continuously available for use
Identifying and prioritizing technical upgrades to keep the platform up to date including upgrades to the components in the technology stack
Bug Fixes and Improvements identified regarding the functionality of the application

The consultant and nbsp;work location and nbsp;will be and nbsp;based out of and nbsp;40 St. Clair W and nbsp;Toronto and nbsp;

Skills

Experience and Skill Set Requirements

Mandatory Skills and Experience: 70% and nbsp; and nbsp;

7 years full-stack developer experience and nbsp;working with the specific MERN (MongoDB Express React ) technology stack. and nbsp;
4 years developing and documenting build books for managing build and deployment of application releases and nbsp;
Technical documentation skills to ensure all technical documentation are sufficiently updated to ensure proper knowledge transfer and nbsp;
Experience designing and delivering solutions and nbsp;which incorporate and nbsp;Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and nbsp;
Experience working in and nbsp;an and nbsp;Agile software delivery environment and nbsp;
Knowledge of IT security best practices and protocols (OAuth 2 SAML) and nbsp;

Desirable Skills and Experience: 20% and nbsp; and nbsp;

Experience building and deploying cloud native solutions ideally in Azure and nbsp;
Experience working on and nbsp;Agricultural and nbsp;data collection and analysis applications and nbsp;
Familiarity with relevant Government of Ontario Information and Technology Standards (GO-ITS) and nbsp;
Experience in source control DevOps CI/CD and related tools (Azure DevOps Git) and nbsp;
