- Details-Fulltime Interim position During the 2025-2026 school year
- Duties Include-
- Teaching one section 7th grade Resource Reading Language Arts
- Teaching one section 7th grade Resource Math
- Teaching 7th grade Academic Success sections
- Serving as case manager of 7th grade students with IEPs (only if special education certified)
- Start date- January 5 2026
- End date- Maximum: End of this school year but end date could be earlier. (Flexible)

Education Certifications and Work-Related Experience
- Teaching certification in Special Education desired; Other certifications considering KMiddle Grades Secondary Reading and Math
- Preferred- Successful education experiences working with students with special needs/IEPs.
- Preferred- Successful teaching experience working with students in grades 4-7.
- Preferred-Skills abilities experiences in literacy and math instruction and remediation.
- The ideal candidate will have successful classroom experience with strong abilities in motivating and supporting students.
- Qualities of a Desired Candidate Include:
- A track record of success as evidenced by positive student academic outcomes positive student perceptions and relationships positive communications and relationships with parents/families.
- Strong recommendations of colleagues and supervisors
- Ability to contribute strongly and positively to a team collaborate with colleagues and appropriate others.
- Past positive experience in leading and/or participating in a professional learning community structure focused on student learning.
- Understanding the pedagogy and central concepts of the content area as defined by the Tennessee Curriculum Standards as well as a grasp of the instructional shifts associated with increasingly rigorous standards.
- Comfortable in using data resources such as TVAAS and communicating results to appropriate stakeholders.
- Ability to use data to drive instruction and modify the learning process for struggling students.
- Possess confidence in utilizing technology to facilitate instruction and as a means of effective two-way communication with all stakeholders.
- Experience in a one-to-one digital classroom environment or strong Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge
- Highly motivated teacher with the ability to cognitively engage students in learning and facilitate the instruction process.
- Understanding of student learning styles and age-appropriate instructional strategies that support higher-order thinking problem solving and real- world connections for students
- Evidence of engaging in high quality professional development as defined by the Tennessee Department of Education
- Must be a Day maker!
