Job Summary

Were looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our team and provide financial and administrative support to our Australian finance operations. This role is key to ensuring accurate financial data compliance and efficient delivery of core accounting processes. If you have strong numerical skills attention to detail and thrive in a collaborative environment wed love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions including invoice entry and coding.
  • Assist with monthly reconciliations (bank balance sheet supplier) and reporting.
  • Support payroll processing and tax compliance (BAS/IAS payroll tax FBT).
  • Maintain the Fixed Assets Register and assist with end-of-month/year activities.
  • Collaborate with the Australian finance team to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy.
What Were Looking For
  • 3 years experience in accounting bookkeeping or finance support roles.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel (vlookups pivot tables) and accounting systems (Xero MYOB QuickBooks; JD Edwards preferred).
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with Australian stakeholders.
Preferred
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
  • CPA qualification or ongoing CPA studies.
  • Experience in a BPO or Managed Services environment supporting Australian clients.
