Job Summary

LOCATION : Port Harcourt
  • Support day-to-day financial operations including payments receipts petty cash and expense management.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in line with company policies and reporting standards.
  • Prepare and submit periodic financial reports schedules and supporting documentation to the head office finance team.
  • Act as a finance liaison by coordinating financial information queries and requests between operational teams and the central finance function.
  • Perform bank cash and ledger reconciliations and promptly resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor budgets and track actual expenditure against approved limits highlighting variances as required.
  • Support cash flow management through cash forecasts funding requests and treasury-related reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls approval limits and company procedures.
  • Coordinate with vendors banks auditors and internal stakeholders on finance-related matters.
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and responding to audit queries.
  • Identify and escalate financial risks control gaps or unusual transactions to management.
  • Assist in improving finance processes reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.


Requirements

Education

  • Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or related field.
  • ACA ACCA or CPA certification is an added advantage.


Experience

  • 13 years experience in finance or accounting with general experience in financial operations and reporting. Strong experience with IFRS reporting reconciliations and financial controls.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems is highly desirable.


Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent understanding of accounting principles financial reporting and IFRS.
  • Strong financial analysis problem-solving and modelling skills.
  • High ethical standards confidentiality and sound judgment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management tools.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
