LOCATION : Port Harcourt
- Support day-to-day financial operations including payments receipts petty cash and expense management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in line with company policies and reporting standards.
- Prepare and submit periodic financial reports schedules and supporting documentation to the head office finance team.
- Act as a finance liaison by coordinating financial information queries and requests between operational teams and the central finance function.
- Perform bank cash and ledger reconciliations and promptly resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor budgets and track actual expenditure against approved limits highlighting variances as required.
- Support cash flow management through cash forecasts funding requests and treasury-related reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls approval limits and company procedures.
- Coordinate with vendors banks auditors and internal stakeholders on finance-related matters.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records for audit and compliance purposes.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and responding to audit queries.
- Identify and escalate financial risks control gaps or unusual transactions to management.
- Assist in improving finance processes reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or related field.
- ACA ACCA or CPA certification is an added advantage.
Experience
- 13 years experience in finance or accounting with general experience in financial operations and reporting. Strong experience with IFRS reporting reconciliations and financial controls.
- Proficiency in ERP systems is highly desirable.
Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles financial reporting and IFRS.
- Strong financial analysis problem-solving and modelling skills.
- High ethical standards confidentiality and sound judgment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management tools.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
