Job Summary
Job Title: Bilingual Medical Assistant (Korean Required)
Location: Flushing NY 11355
Contract Duration: 26 Weeks
Schedule: MondayFriday 9:00 AM 5:00 PM (Includes 60-minute break)
Pay Rate: Up to $23/hour
Position Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a Bilingual Medical Assistant (Korean-speaking) to support both clinical and administrative operations in a busy outpatient healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will assist providers with patient care perform essential clinical tasks and communicate effectively with Korean-speaking patients to ensure a positive and high-quality patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
Perform patient intake including vital signs height and weight measurements
Assist providers during examinations and outpatient procedures
Prepare and process specimens in accordance with established protocols
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using EMR systems (e.g. Epic Athena)
Support front-office and back-office operations as needed
Communicate clearly and professionally with Korean-speaking patients to ensure understanding and comfort
Adhere to infection control safety and regulatory compliance standards
Required Qualifications
Fluency in Korean (required)
High School Diploma or GED
Active BLS certification
Completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program
Preferred Qualifications
Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA-CMA or AMT-RMA)
Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
Experience in outpatient family practice or primary care settings
Experience with specimen processing and vital sign intake
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic and/or Athena
