Job Summary
Do you want to play a key role in Amazons plans to redefine grocery shopping If so we have an exciting role which would put you at the forefront of our expansion plans within the Grocery Partnerships team.
Working within the Worldwide Launch & Expansion team we need a superstar program manager who will help us to deliver our exciting launch plans. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter comfortable driving complex projects and working in ambiguous spaces.
You need to be an expert at building and maintaining strong relationships with our partners possess great communication skills and be an expert problem solver who keeps a calm head when the going gets difficult. You also need to have automation and streamlining front of mind we aim to reinvent the wheel in a number of areas. Results will be highly tangible.
Key job responsibilities
Build the multi-merchant/store expansion strategy and goal to delight more customers across the Japan and Singapore
Lead the launch and onboarding of the curated strategic partners in line with regional strategy
Proactively identify and mitigate risks that impact project deliveries across workstreams and drive correctives
Deep dive challenges and blockers to find solutions through outside-the box thinking
Drive the creation of effective cross-functional project management mechanisms and tracking to ensure projects are delivered on time
Effectively communicate project status and risks with partner teams
Be intimately familiar with the status of all projects in-flight
This role will offer a rare opportunity to work on one of Amazons most ambitious fastest growing and complex new businesses. The internal stakeholders include Program managers and worldwide Product managers Business development managers Global operations managers Tech team PR Legal Customer service and so on. The successful candidate is expected to be the an entrepreneurial analytical and highly motivated with a track record of team collaboration and influencing and drawing metric-based conclusions.

- 5 years of program or project management experience
- 3 years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- Experience with analytical tools and ability to dive deep into metrics and reporting
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver projects on tight deadlines
- Bachelors degree or above
- Fluent in English
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills attention to detail and effective communication abilities or experience in SQL Server/MySQL
- Experience managing multiple projects prioritizing planning and managing time
- MBA preferred
- Fluent in Japanese
