Guadalupe Centers Charter Schools (GCCS) serves more than 1600 students from PreK12 and is a free open-enrollment public charter school system located in Kansas City Missouri. Over 97% of our students identify as Latinx and many are bilingual or English learners. Our network includes Guadalupe Centers Elementary School Guadalupe Centers Middle School and Guadalupe Centers High School.
GCCS grew out of Guadalupe Centers educational programs part of the longest continuously operating agency serving the Latinx community in the United States since 1919. Our deep community roots shape our mission: to prepare all students academically socially and emotionally for college career and life success.

Building Principal
Create and maintain a safe inclusive and engaging classroom environment that supports learning and positive student behavior.
Deliver instruction aligned to the Missouri Learning Standards and GCCS curriculum frameworks.
Integrate ESL and culturally responsive strategies to support multilingual learners across all content areas.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles language levels and IEP/504 accommodations.
Maintain accurate and timely records grades and documentation to meet district and DESE reporting requirements.
Collaborate with colleagues instructional coaches and support staff to plan implement and refine instruction.
Communicate effectively and professionally with students families and colleagues through multiple modes (in-person email phone conferences).
Serve as a role model of professionalism ethics and cultural competence.
Assess and monitor student progress using both formative and summative data; use results to adjust instruction.
Participate in PLCs (Professional Learning Communities) professional development and district initiatives.
Attend and actively participate in parent meetings IEP/504 conferences and building events as required.
Ensure the proper implementation of all student modifications and accommodations per IEP/504 plans.
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement reflection and professional growth.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of students and the school community.

Passion for working with historically underrepresented student populations
Commitment to data-driven and culturally responsive teaching practices
Bachelors Degree in Elementary or Secondary Education (Masters preferred)
Valid Missouri Teaching Certification in a relevant content area or grade level
Two or more years of successful teaching experience preferred
Experience in an urban or bilingual school environment strongly preferred
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Prolonged periods of standing walking and classroom facilitation
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
Ability to navigate multiple school sites and participate in field or community-based activities as needed
