Job Description Summary
The Logistics Team Leader GSI APAC oversees end-to-end logistics operations for APAC GSI ensuring that operations are safe quality timely deliveries and cost-effective. Reporting to the APAC Procurement & Logistics Leader this role drives strategic logistics planning vendor management risk mitigation and cross-functional collaboration to optimize supply chain efficiencies. The incumbent is also required to develop team capabilities enforces compliance and aligns logistics strategies with GE Vernova business growth objectives.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Direct a sub-functional area of project logistics of GSI APAC; translate concepts evaluate strategic options drive and implement change advocate and embrace continuous improvements.
Drive the sub-functional strategy create added value initiatives to support business growth optimize logistics operations costs while managing risks and opportunities
Manage and engage key functional stakeholders to lead initiatives to develop and deliver improvement targets and that are in line with the business strategy
Drive strategic logistics planning at ITO & OTR phases; with the goals of providing the most feasible and cost-effective logistics solutions to win projects to achieve the region Order Intake target at ITO; with the same approach and due diligence at OTR to save cost to achieve region margin expansion plans whilst adhering to GEVs SQDC principles.
Provide strong leadership in teams development and growth as well as guidance to the project logistics team ensuring adherence to GSI processes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement knowledge sharing and technical excellence development of competence and talents.
Steer the growth and continuous improvement of the regional logistics network while fostering a culture aligned with GE Vernova Ways ensuring clear communication team engagement and alignment with operational goals.
Academic and Professional Background:
Degree in Supply Chain Management Business Logistics or related field with a minimum of 15 years of relevant logistics experience in an engineering Procurement & Construction (EPC) environment within the Transmission & Distribution Power Generation or Oil & Gas industry.
Experience in managing oversized-dimension cargoes for at least 3 large and complex projects.
Possess strong leadership to inspire and manage a team of professionals
Experience or knowledge in Project Management Sourcing & procurement and substation equipment.
Demonstrated experience and confidence navigating in high matrix set-up organization

Ability to analyze logistics data to improve operations
Proven track record in managing logistics projects from inception to completion.
Able to collaborate and adapt to changing circumstances
