Patient Ratios

Days: 5:1 (occasionally 6:1)
Nights: 6:1 consistently

• Virtual interviews may occur initially but an in-person interview is required before an offer

• Includes shadowing unit tour and leadership interview

• Must be comfortable working in a busy high-volume cardiac/med-surg environment

Role Overview

This Registered Nurse role supports a Cardiac Telemetry / Medical-Surgical unit caring for adult patients with cardiac and general medical conditions. The RN delivers safe high-quality bedside care while working collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition on admission and throughout each shift

• Identify and report changes in patient status promptly

• Administer medications and monitor patient response

• Perform ordered procedures and continuous monitoring

• Document care accurately and in a timely manner

• Educate patients and families on diagnoses treatments medications and discharge plans

• Provide responsive patient-centered care with strong communication and teamwork

Required Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience required

• Experience accepted from Home Health LTAC Skilled Nursing Outpatient Rehab or Corrections

• Acute care experience is NOT required

• Active Florida RN license or compact multistate RN license

• Compact nurses must obtain FL license within 60 days if relocating

• BLS required within 30 days of start

• ACLS required within 90 days of start

• Comfortable managing higher patient ratios and working in a team-based environment

• Open due to internal promotions and RN movement into other specialties

Compensation & Differentials

Hourly Pay Range:

• $29.00/hr (2 years experience)

• $33.71/hr (5 years experience)

• Up to $43.00/hr (17 years experience)

Shift Differentials:

• Nights: $4.25/hr

• Weekends: $3.00/hr

• Sign-On Bonus: None

• Relocation Assistance: Case by case
