Position Summary
Warm Valley Health Care is seeking a friendly organized and culturally respectful Dental Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for patients in our Dental Clinic. This role is essential to ensuring smooth clinic operations through patient registration scheduling insurance verification and administrative support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented customer-focused and able to thrive in a fast-paced tribal health setting.
Key Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors in a welcoming culturally sensitive manner
Register patients verify demographic and insurance information and manage check-in/check-out
Answer phones respond to patient inquiries and route calls appropriately
Schedule confirm and coordinate dental appointments and referrals
Verify insurance eligibility benefits and authorizations
Maintain accurate patient records in the EDR/EHR system
Assist with billing support documentation filing and daily administrative reports
Order and track front desk and clinic supplies as directed
Collaborate with dental providers and staff to support efficient patient flow
Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA OSHA and tribal health policies
Participate in staff meetings trainings and quality improvement activities
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Strong communication and customer service skills with cultural awareness
Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn EDR/EHR systems
Ability to multitask stay organized and maintain professionalism
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a medical or dental reception role
Experience working in a tribal or community health clinic
Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance processes
Bilingual in English and a Native language spoken in the community
Training
On-the-job training will be provided. The selected candidate must demonstrate the ability to learn clinic workflows and required systems.
Work Environment
This position works in an outpatient dental clinic with frequent patient interaction. Duties require sitting standing walking and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Schedule may vary based on clinic and community needs.
