AECOM is seeking a Deputy Environmental Program Manager to support the Senior Environmental Program Manager on the AECOM/New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) Comprehensive Modernization program. The Deputy will manage day-to-day coordination maintain critical trackers drive deliverables and ensure alignment between NYCHA subconsultants field teams and internal AECOM staff.
This role is primarily for a high-performing coordinator master tracker and project driver with an environmental background who can manage complex workflows and support a large fast paced public sector program. It offers a strong leadership-track opportunity for a mid-career professional.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily coordination across multiple projects ensuring schedules and deliverables remain on track.
- Develop and maintain master trackers dashboards schedules logs and meeting materials.
- Prepare agendas and detailed meeting minutes with clear action items and follow-ups.
- Coordinate with procurement design construction and field teams to support seamless program execution.
- Assist in developing environmental scopes of work with Planning/Design and Procurement teams.
- Track consultant and Design-Builder progress to ensure timely field work and documentation.
- Support preparation and coordination of environmental work plans and maintain related logs.
- Support the Senior Environmental Program Manager in overseeing environmental work across the program.
- Coordinate workloads schedules and deliverables for Document Analysts and environmental consultants.
- Collaborate with NYCHA environmental teams to confirm requirements and maintain documentation flow.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS plus six years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Requirements:
- NY/ NJ Agency experience
- Familiarity with environmental documentation or hazardous materials processes including lead and asbestos removal and disposal.
- Experienced proactive project manager.
