About the role
You will be able to work with a broad spectrum of topics such as:
- Reserve calculations (statutory IFRS 17 solvency)
- Regulatory solvency capital calculations and own risk and solvency assessments
- Pricing and premium calculations
- Climate risk modelling
- Diverse other types of valuations using varying methods and frameworks
- Usage of Gen AI within actuarial processes and tasks
- Regulatory changes
- Governance and organisational questions around the work of actuarial teams including actuarial modernisation and technology transformations
- Transactions of insurance contracts or portfolios.
The exact topics will vary from time to time. Your work is expected to be conducted in different team constellations:
- Audit support forming part of an audit team as one of several actuarial specialists.
- Actuarial consulting services usually forming part of a team of actuaries.
- Complex insurance transformation projects forming part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Qualifications :
- You have three to five years of experience as an actuary within life or non-life insurance.
- You have experience of performing various actuarial tasks such as reserve calculations pricing and premium calculations solvency capital calculations or similar.
- You have experience of insurance regulation and accounting rules in Sweden.
- You have high analytical skills and an interest in developing further your knowledge of actuarial methods and models.
- Good programming skills (Python or R) and proficiency with Microsoft 365 products (Excel Word Powerpoint Teams Outlook) are an advantage.
- Experience from a consulting firm is an advantage.
- You possess strong social and communication skills and can explain complex actuarial concepts in a clear and simple way.
- You are attentive adaptable organised and have strong relationship and collaboration skills.
- You have completed or are about to complete the actuarial qualification of the Swedish Society of Actuaries (Svenska Aktuarieföreningen) or an actuarial association with comparable credentials.
- You are comfortable working in a Nordic environment and are open to travel from time to time as part of the role.
- You can communicate accurately and efficiently in both Swedish and English in written and spoken form.
