The CAO is a delegated administrative authority that supports condo living and enhances consumer protection by providing services and resources that reach all condo communities across Ontario. We are accountable to the government through and Administrative Agreement with the Minister of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement. The seven-member board of directors provide strategic guidance and oversight of the organization.

We value flexibility and have adopted a hybrid work model whereby employees use a combination of working remotely 2 days a week and in the office for 3 days.


Role Purpose:

The successful candidatewillwork closely with communications and policy colleagues to createimpactfulpaid&owned social media contentand manageCAOs presence at industry events.Theyshoulddemonstratecreativityattention to detailstrong project managementskillsandresponsiveness.They shouldalsobepassionate about researching copywriting designthinkingand innovation.

This role is a fixed-term 12-month contract.


WhatYoullDo:

Social Media and Digital Marketing 70%

  • Develop strategiesforsharedsocialandpaiddigital adcontent including byreviewinganalyticswhatsin the news as well as what is trendingandmakingdata-driven recommendations.
  • Executeon proposed strategiesby creating monthlycontent calendarsincluding by writing copy filming videos that hop on trendsanddesigning visuals through Canva.
  • Monitor CAOs social accountsand lead community management bydistilling technical information into digestibleresponses.
  • Bring fresh creative ideas on how we can engage our audiences.
  • Make data driven recommendations for which organic posts to boost.
  • Create content for adcampaignsas necessary.
  • Manage budgetstacticsand audiences for ad content.
  • Video editing graphicdesignandfront-of-cameraexperiencenecessary.

Events 20%

  • Execute CAOsexternal eventstrategybycoordinatingconference participation booths set up and attendancestafflogistics sponsorshipsswag orders.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to organize through leadership and presentation opportunities for CAO executives at sector events.
  • Assistin creating compelling power point presentations and external graphic assetsto support CAO executives.
  • Support CAOs internal event offering for employeesand stakeholders byprovidinglogistical support as needed.

Other 10%

  • Assistwithadditionalprint and digital materials as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Bringto the Team:

  • University degree or diploma in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three to five ofyears working ina related field.
  • Exceptional editingand writing skills.
  • Comfort workingwith a written and visualstyle guide.
  • Demonstratedtime management skills.
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
  • Advancedproficiencyin MS OfficeCanva Hootsuiteand other contentmanagement tools.
  • Bilingual (English/French) an asset.
  • Adobe Illustrator/InDesign an asset.



Working conditions/Environment

CAO values in-person collaboration and we observe a hybrid working model and only those interested and comfortable in collaborating in person 3 days a week (Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays) need apply.
