This is a key position for someone with a minimum two years HR support in California. You will have the freedom to implement and improve processes in human resources functions that support our team and company. You will have the opportunity to work closely with both leadership and staff to ensure that our HR policies and practices promote a supportive and engaging environment. This position offers a competitive compensation package of $80000.00 - $85000.00 per year. The role is based at our main location in Walnut Creek and serves our two Volvo dealerships.
Responsibilities
- Drive the full spectrum of HR activities including recruitment on-boarding performance management employee relations and compliance with employment laws and company policies.
- Collaborate with department managers to understand their staffing needs and develop effective strategies to attract retain and develop top talent.
- Administer and maintain employee records ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times.
- Assist in the design and implementation of HR programs that support our culture and organizational objectives such as employee recognition training and wellness initiatives.
- Provide timely and knowledgeable support to employees and management on HR-related matters acting as a trusted advisor and resource.
- Conduct investigations and resolve workplace issues fairly and consistently promoting a respectful and inclusive company environment.
- Stay informed of the latest trends and changes in labor laws and HR best practices to ensure compliance and recommend enhancements to current processes.
- Maintain accurate payroll 401(k) contributions and PTO accrual
Requirements
- Minimum Two Years in Human Resources in California
- Proven experience demonstrating a broad understanding of HR functions
- Strong knowledge of essential Federal and Californiaemployment laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate to all levels of the team.
- Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
