Job Summary
Were looking for a Director of Issues Management someone whos ready to be part of a growing team with amazing this position youll be responsible for shaping and protecting the reputation of our company and provide strategic leadership across issues management external communications stakeholder engagement and thought leadership to position the organization as a trusted authority in childrens health research and innovation and pediatric policy. Youll also anticipate and manage high-impact issues guide organizational responses to sensitive matters and drive public affairs strategies that advance the mission and strategic priorities of the system across U.S. and international audiences.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Leads enterprise-wide strategies to anticipate assess and manage emerging issues that could impact the organizations reputation public trust or operational priorities
Develops and executes integrated communications plans in coordination with executive leadership legal risk management government affairs and operations teams
Drives public affairs communications that strengthen the organizations influence in national and international pediatric health policy
Leads media strategy for national and international outlets with a focus on healthcare business and policy media
Designs and implements a comprehensive thought leadership strategy that positions us and its experts as global leaders in pediatric care innovation and advocacy
Serves as a key member of the public affairs leadership team contributing to enterprise-wide strategy and alignment
Skills & Requirements
Bachelors degree in communications public relations journalism public policy or a related field required
Masters degree preferred
12 years of progressive experience in public affairs media relations or issues management ideally within large complex healthcare academic or global nonprofit organizations required
