POSITION DUTIES
- Provides liaison services to Local Department of Social Services (LDSS) Offices Maryland Department of Emergency Management (MDEM) Liaisons Local Department of Emergency Management and Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters (VOAD) partners to provide information and coordinate mass care services in Maryland with a focus Central Maryland.
- Ensures facilities and programs are accessible for all residents of Maryland.
- Reports to Central Maryland Office bi-weekly for collaboration and to support statewide projects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Three years of administrative staff or professional work.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to twoyears of the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelors degreefrom a college or universityfor the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included the regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans policies rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the requiredexperience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- One year of experience with inventory tracking and logistics.
- One year of experience coordinating resources for and during emergency operations.
- One year of professional experience in a local or state agency.

EXAMINATION PROCESS
The examination will consist of a rating of your education training and experience as presented on your application and as they relate to the requirements of the position. You may be asked to complete a supplemental questionnaire. The supplemental questionnaire may be used as part of the rating process. Therefore it is important that you provide complete and accurate information on your application.
For education obtained outside the U.S. a copy of the equivalent American education as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service is required prior to hire.

Personal Leave- new State employees are awarded six (6) personnel days annually (prorated based on start date).
Annual Leave ten (10) days of accumulated annual leave per year.
